School BusES

UNDER 16'S TRAVELLING ON BUSES

If you travel on a Bus and buy a Travel Card the way you buy these is changing with effect from 2nd January 2019.  You will no longer be able to buy a 7 or 28 Day AnyBus Travelcard as a paper ticket – Instead you will need to ensure that you have an IGO card which is smart enabled.  You will then use this to load your travelcard directly on to your IGO card.  If you travel on buses you should already have an IGO card to prove you are under 16 and obtain the concessionary rates – when you purchase your ticket if will be loaded directly to your IGO Card..  If you do not have an IGO card you must obtain one (available from Transport for Greater Manchester online or via the Travel Shops on Bus Stations).
