Arbor Parent App
In January 2026, The Bishop Fraser Trust launched Arbor across all secondary schools. Arbor replaced SIMS, the system we use to manage all of our student records. The benefit of this system means that parents now have access to a Arbor Parent App. You have received an email from Arbor on Monday 5th January with information and a link to create your account and choose a password. If you haven't managed to create the account and need support, please contact office@stjames.tbft.uk

Logging Into The Parent App
Enter the email address you received initial Arbor email to and your newly created password. The first time you log into the account you will need to
- Accept the Terms of Use
- Confirm You Have Done This
- Enter Your Child's Date of Birth
- Continue Once The Account is Verified

Dashboard
When entering the Arbor Parent App, you will be presented with a dashboard for your child. You can scroll through this screen to access key information.
Dashboard
Selecting the 3 lines in the bottom left of the Arbor Parent App, will take you to the Quick Actions dashboard. The core elements that you need to access for your child are presented here.
Attendance
The attendance option will display attendance figures broken down into the most recent time frame and for the current academic year. You can "drill down" into the figures for real time data.
Behaviour
The behaviour option will display the behaviour categories that are relevant to your child..
- Steps 2 Success will show you the lesson by lesson breakdown score for your child. (5 being the best possible score and 1 being the worst)
- Homework Positive Points will show you when your child has been issued a Homework Success Point for completing homework.
- Achieving Excellence and Caring for Others points will be issued and displayed for you to review
- Detentions will be listed at the bottom of the page for your child. This will support you to discuss any detentions they have received, why it was awarded and when it will be completed.
You can also access detention information on the main dashboard screen by looking at the calendar for the day. Detentions will be listed at the end of the day in orange and can be clicked on to display additional information.
Homework
Scrolling down on the main dashboard will display homework assignments that have been set on by your child's teachers. You can see additional information about each homework assignment by clicking on it.
Please note that when homework is completed on the Student Arbor App, "Submit" must be selected for the assignments to be marked as complete. You can still access Overdue Assignments, which will be removed from your list when they have been submitted.
Submitting homework on Sparx Maths, KayScience and Century will not remove Overdue assignments from Arbor. These platforms are not connected to each other.
