Careers at St James's
Through our CEIAG programme, directly supporting our ethos of ‘Caring for others, Achieving Excellence’ we aim to support the individual aspirations, achievements and needs of all our pupils by challenging stereotypes and celebrating a diverse range of education and employment paths.
We measure and assess the impact of our careers programme using the Gatsby Benchmarks and the Compass+ tool, alongside our own internal evaluations which gather opinions of pupils, providers, staff and parents. The Senior Leadership Team and Board of Governors support the programme and we have a dedicated Governor to support the Careers Coordinator.

Year 11 is a very busy year and it can sometimes seem difficult to think about life after St James’s. Many of you will have a clear idea of what path you would like to take and feel well equipped to apply for colleges. If you need any extra help with this process, which can seem very daunting, there are many people who are there to support you.

Careers Lead and Contacts
The Careers Lead at St James’s CE High School is Mrs C Anderson, Head Teacher.
Any provider wishing to request access or discuss possible ways they can support our students with their careers education are welcome to contact the school directly. This can include supporting our events in school such as Mock interviews and Careers Fairs or in the work place such as Work Experience and Work place visits while informing students of local opportunities.
