KEY STAGE 4

Welcome to the Science Department

The study of science fires pupils' curiosity about phenomena in the world around them and offers opportunities to find explanations. Pupils learn how knowledge and understanding in science are rooted in evidence. They discover how scientific ideas contribute to technological change - affecting industry, business and medicine and improving quality of life.

Our aim is to give each student an appreciation, knowledge and understanding of scientific facts, history, methods and applications and to develop their practical and investigative skills. Whether you proceed to advanced studies or finishes your formal Science training at GCSE, our aim is that you have a broad, informed foundation for the future.
